It is reported that China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. (CPP) and Atasu-Alashankou Duoadu Pipeline Co., Ltd. have signed a contract for China-Kazakhstan liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cross-border pipeline design project. CPP will undertake the whole process of the reconnaissance, preliminary design and construction drawing of the project, marking the launch of China's first cross-border LPG pipeline design.
Nowadays, China still imports liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Kazakhstan by means of automobile or tank container train. There are problems such as insufficient transportation capacity, high cost, large loss of oil and gas, and severe weather impact. As the first key construction project of Xinjiang Autonomous Region government in 2020, this project will solve the transportation problem of LPG import, further expand the LPG trade scale between China and Kazakhstan, and meet the import demand of LPG in China, which is of great significance for promoting regional economic and social development.
It is reported that the project starts from the first LPG station in Kazakhstan and ends at the last LPG station of Dushanzi petrochemical in China, with a total length of nearly 300 km, a pipe diameter of 273 mm and a designed pressure of 9 mpa. There are 4 stations and 13 circuit block valve Chambers along the project.
